Aunt
Wednesdays™ was opened in December 2010 out of my love for crochet and sewing.
My grandmother, a professional seamstress, taught me to sew, quilt, and design,
while my mother taught me to crochet, at an early age. Over the past few years
I have started to process and spin wool. I continue to enjoy learning new
techniques to keep my designs fresh. My newest love is experimenting with
various dyes and their effects on many types of fibers.
I am a proud member of The indiExhibit, an organization
that represents independent artists at the best celebrity gift lounges in
Hollywood. The indieExhibit consists of a variety of artisans from around the
world who have come together to elevate their brand through celebrity gifting.

Outside
of my business, I am an avid reader that loves My God, My Family, and My Community.
I enjoy many outdoor activities including backpacking, fishing, and
photography. I am the mother of one amazing gift, my daughter, Tabatha. For many
years I have been a Sunday School Teacher at our church, HMBC. I have organized
many fundraisers, including shoe, coat, school supply and food drives for
families in need. For the past several years, I have donated many handmade
items to local hospitals, including premature infant burial gowns and
bereavement pouches, hundreds of hats, and handmade toys to children’s
hospitals in the Midwest. During the
holidays, I enjoy making Christmas stockings, hats, and scarves for area
children, I firmly believe in the gift of giving to others.
Aunt
Wednesdays™ is always accepting custom crochet orders, and offers a wide selection
of options; including size, color, choice of fiber, hand painted and homespun
wool.
